How to play

• Tap the screen (or press Space) to swing. The ring around the ball’s spot closes as the pitch gets there. Swing when it closes.
• Swing early and you pull it to left field. Swing late and it goes to right. Too early or too late is a miss.
• You have 10 outs. Every swing that isn’t a home run is an out, and so is a strike you let go by. Letting a ball go by is free.
• Hit one 475 feet or more and you get an out back (up to 3 times).
• Every hit shows its exit speed, launch angle and distance. Hit PERFECT timing for the biggest blasts.
• Easy is slow fastballs. Normal mixes in changeups and curveballs. Hard brings the heat and sliders.
• Hit 3 home runs in a row and you catch fire. Get 3 outs in a row and the pitcher does.

Pitch a game

• Pick a pitch: Fastball, Changeup, Curveball or Slider. Each one hands you a code of arrows (3 to 6) to punch in on the pad, or with the arrow keys.
• Fast and clean paints the corner and fools the batter. Slow or a wrong arrow leaves it over the middle. Run out of time and it’s a wild ball.
• Nine batters. A strikeout is 100 points, any other out 50. A home run costs 100 and a walk 25.
• Three sharp codes in a row and you’re on fire: more speed and bite until someone takes you deep or walks.

Full game

• You against the house, 3 or 5 innings. You bat in the top of each inning with the same tap-to-swing, and pitch in the bottom with the arrow codes.
• Three outs a side. Hits become singles, doubles, triples and home runs; the fielders and runners play themselves.
• Three hits in a row and your batter catches fire. Tied after the last inning? Extra innings, up to three.
• A wild pitch can hit the batter, who takes first. You can also Plunk him on purpose: the umpire warns both benches, and doing it again gets your pitcher tossed (the reliever needs an extra arrow a pitch).
• Get hit yourself and you choose: take your base, or charge the mound for a cartoon brawl. You and their pitcher get tossed, a pinch runner takes first, and your dugout is fired up.
